My own archeological dig!
This new path was discovered while clearing the path on the right.  My trowel clanged and I continued to dig about 8 inches deep to new hand cut stone (we had uncovered the sidewalks laid by the master stone cutters who lived here before 1890 (the Mays) the first year we were here) - and now I found two more stones.  -the last stone is the one near the yellow pot - and the one before it - each about 3 feet long and l-l/2 foot wide.  Must have been there for 120 years getting buried as the creek flooded  over it and soil built up because coal was on the top layers of soil from the old coal shed.

The wisteria bloomed fully yesterday -
everything seems to be putting on
best show since the cold snowy winter
we are trying to forget.

The wind played havoc with the bathtub in the garden

The Fringe Tree bloomed - the perfume permeates the gardens as the wind blows - and mingles with the Autumn Olive.  The fringe tree always reminds me of my first apprentice, Judith Vojik who may be coming from Tenn. to take part in the Labyrith re-dedication event here next Saturday.

I have been working in the Feng Shui garden all week and the first white Iris have bloomed to greet me.
